Have You Had Enough Yet?

Well, 2020 just keeps coming doesn't it?

It's enough to make you say "I've had it!" isn't it?

No matter who you voted for in this years election, we continue to see unprecedented things this year that continues to cause stress, and sometimes aniexty and fear.

But the reality this year and every year is we CAN'T choose what happens to us.

We can't choose when we get sick, when a crisis hits, or who gets elected president (at least not individually).

That's why it still all comes down to your perspective.

Now, I get it......2020 continues to make it so hard to find the good and to believe things are going to turn out right.

We'd rather just point the finger, blame COVID, the media, or something else.

But, if you're a believer like me, then you know the Bible says there is a "Time for everything, a season for every activity under the heavens" Ecclesiastes 3:1

So there are times when you and I can and should be down for bit.

It's ok to have a bad day.

In the case of 2020, it's ok to have several of them 😂

But I want to encourage you today, just for a second to take a different perspective.

Author Jon Gordon says " how you see world determines the world you see" and I couldn't agree more.

No matter how bad things get, if we refuse to focus on only our circumstances and challenges but instead focus on the right beliefs and see things with the right perspective it will help us build the success we are looking for.

One of the ways you can do this is with daily affirmations.

No, I'm not talking about the ones where you repeat to yourself "I'm rich, good looking, and have everything I want in life".

Statements like those will likely cause more cynicism and frustration because they're hard to take action on and usually only remind you of how far away you truly are from where you want to be.

I'm talking about some sort of "daily pledge" if you will.

Something that will get into your heart and something you can rely on no matter what comes your way.

For a lot of people scripture comes to mind and I know these certainly help me.

But even if you're not a Christian I believe that talking to yourself and looking at things through the right lens will help you get so much further in life.

For something to get your started use the following that was also inspired by Jon Gordon.

"I expect great things to happen today.
I trust in God's plan for my life.
I accept all of the love, joy, happiness, and sucess in my life.
I will give my best and I have faith that things will turn out as they should.
I accept all the good things that are coming into my life as a result of the actions I take.
I believe I am here for a reason and my purpose is greater than my challenges.
I believe my best days are ahead of my not behind me.
I believe every day I am getting stronger, healthier, and better."

Put the above in your phone and start reading it to yourself morning, noon, and night for 30 days and see if it doesn't make a HUGE difference for you.

You might think in doing so you're being a little crazy.

However, I've found the being successful in anything usually takes being a little crazy and outside of the norm.

Throughout history every really great idea has been deemed crazy by people who were too normal or as they would call it "realistic".

But also remember that small minds cannot understand big dreams.

Keep talking to yourself, stay positive, never give up, and BELIEVE that good things are coming your way!

2020 isn't over yet!

Dare to keep BELIEVING that the best is still yet to come!
